Winter PSSA
We will hold trials for the Winter PSSA competition this Friday 29/4 and next Friday 6/5 with the competition due to start in Week 3. This is for students in Years 3-6
This week we will hold the trial during the morning session as there is rain and thunderstorms forecast for the afternoon.
Students will come to school at the normal time, we will mark rolls and then head down to the oval. Students trialing for netball sill stay at school and use the netball court. All other students will remain under the Eastern shelter and then be split up for school sport options.
Children should sign up on the sign up sheets outside 4NK.
The PSSA sports on offer will be
Girl’s soccer, senior and junior teams – Mrs Kulak
Boy’s soccer – senior and junior teams – Mrs Walter
Rugby league – senior and junior teams – Mr Moran
Mixed AFL – senior and junior teams – Mr Mercado
Senior Netball -Mrs Young
Junior Netball – Mrs Terrey
Cross Country
The cross country in on Thursday 5 May at Newport Oval. All students in year 2 – 6 should participate. Students who are turning 7 in Year 2 this year are allowed to run, however if they finish in the top 6 they cannot progress to the zone carnival.
We should return to school around 1.30pm. Students who wish to order a lunch order from the canteen may do so as we will be back in time for lunch.
Students can wear their sports uniform or their house colours.
